Investment in energy-efficient lighting

We have recently invested in the latest LED lighting throughout our UK facility.

The latest generation of LED lighting has been used to replace both the office and warehouse lighting. Achieving up to 350Lux, it has resulted in a far brighter and more comfortable office, whilst the warehouse environment has also improved significantly too. This latest investment is part of an upgrade of facilities across our UK site, as we continue to build towards further growth. In recent months we have completed a re-organisation of the warehouse to provide +30% of additional racking, dedicated storage for goods inward and despatch areas, plus the installation of new CNC-controlled saws. Not only is this year our 80th Anniversary, but also the 10th year we have been operating from our Newcastle under Lyme site – these investments ensure we remain a benchmark site for the distribution of high-performance alloys.

Key figures for the LED lighting:

– emission savings = 31T of CO2e per annum
