Langley Alloys presents at Duplex World

Langley Alloys presented at the recent Duplex World conference held in Dusseldorf on the 9th-10th October 2018. Our Business Development Director, Rodney Rice, presented Langley Alloys work on the measurement and understanding of galling resistance. Focusing on an improved test standard, this work highlighted the increased galling resistance of Ferralium 255-SD50 in comparison with other super duplex and austenitic stainless steels.

Rodney commented “It was great to be able to present this work to a very knowledgeable audience. It probably posed more questions than it answered, but some thoughts for follow-up work were introduced. More importantly, the Duplex World event was an ideal meeting point for those involved in the production and specification of all things super duplex.”
