CS28 – Ferralium – Motorcycle Frame

Revival Cycles is a custom bike builder specialising in bespoke projects for individual clients. The two founding partners are a mechanical engineer and an artistic designer respectively, combining the latest materials and processes in uniquely styled creations.

The client for the J63 ‘café racer’ had a very specific look in mind, but also had a finite budget available. Therefore the starting point was a neglected 1997 Ducati 900SS Sport, that acted as donor for the engine, gearbox and other mechanicals. However, much of the appearance of the J63 is defined by the original lattice frame that was fabricated from scratch in Ferralium 255 tube.

What the CS28 – Ferralium offers:

Ferralium offers a number of benefits over alternative materials, including higher strength than standard stainless steels (up to 2x the yield strength) and enhanced corrosion resistance, particularly in aggressive environments.

Langley Alloys carries stock of pipe, flanges and fittings in addition to plate and bar in a number high-performance alloys, ready for immediate delivery. Whilst the selection of material represents an unusual application for this corrosion resistant alloy, the end result cannot be questioned.
