Transition to new ISO standard complete

Portland site issued with ISO9001 certification to the new 2015 standard.

Following the successful transition of our operations in both Houston and Newcastle (UK) to the updated quality management system, our Portland facility sailed through their audit recently too. The updated 2015 standard puts greater emphasis on leadership engagement, helps business to address both organizational risks and opportunities in a more structured manner and also considers how to better manage their supply chain.

The Portland facility is home to our plate processing and distribution activities. With a focus on the stocking of duplex and super duplex plates, including our own unique Ferralium 255 product, we also operate a water jet cutter to provide customers with parts ready to fabricate in the optimum condition. Plate is stocked up to 3″ in thickness, and down to 0.063″ as a sheet product.
